Accuracy and conventions

CapstoneCalc provides general academic calculations based on the most common US grading conventions — the 10-point letter scale and the unweighted 4.0 GPA system. Educational institutions vary in their cutoffs, rounding policies, weighting rules and honor-course adjustments. Your school's published policies and your registrar's records are authoritative; results here are estimates for planning, not official records.

Acceptable use

The site is provided for personal, educational use. You may link to any page freely. Scraping the site wholesale, republishing its content as your own, or embedding it in a way that misrepresents its origin is not permitted.

The service is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for academic decisions made on the basis of a calculation — always verify anything consequential against your syllabus or with your instructor.
